My kids have been asking a lot of questions about what mummy has been doing with the laptop every night recently.
Don't worry, my kids are not feral, I don't let them stay up all night, but they regularly get up to tell tales on each other and as soon as they see me with the laptop open, they are straight in there to see what they are missing.
I explained a little bit about blogs and that I use my blog to write lots of lovely thing about them. Both of them asked if they could write on my blog, but seeing as they can't write yet, I wanted to think of another way to get them involved.
I thought it would be a great idea to ask them ten questions each about their likes and dislikes, and these were their responses.
What is your favourite colour? Red & Blue
What is your favourite toy? All minecraft toys
What is your favourite food? Chicken burgers
What is your favourite animal? Tiger
What makes you happy? Minecraft
What makes you sad? When someone punches me
Favourite thing to do with Mum & Dad? Play Minecraft
What do you want to be when you grow up? Like Daddy
What is your favourite book? The Gruffalo & Minecraft: The Official Guide
What are you most scared of? Spiders
What is your favourite colour? Pink, Purple & Yellow
What is your favourite toy? My Pinkie Pie My Little Pony
What is your favourite food? Cakes, cupcakes, lollies & ice cream, don't forget the ice cream!
What is your favourite animal? Sheep, Horsies, Cats & Dogs
What makes you happy? Getting presents
What makes you sad? Not having anyone to play with (awww)
Favourite thing to do with Mum & Dad? Play
What do you want to be when you grow up? A Princess, but not by marrying a knight or prince!
What is your favourite book? The Princess and The Wizard
What are you most scared of? Lions
I thought their answers were pretty cute, although some a little questionable. Caitlin has never expressed an interest in sheep before, so I don't know why they are suddenly her favourite animal. I asked Neil how regular an occurrence was being punched to make him sad, and he said he's never been punched, so when I asked him why it made him sad he just shrugged
I'm looking forward to reading through this with the kids when they are a bit older. It would be a lovely idea to do this once a year and collect the answers in a little notebook.
On a final note, my wonderful hubby designed a new header for my blog. I think it looks great, I'm glad he knows what he's doing because I could certainly have never done it! What do you think of the design?
Have you ever done something similar with your kids? If you have I'd love to hear about it?
I love reading all of your comments and getting to interact with all my readers so pop a comment in the section below and lets chit chat.
Typical boy/girl answers. I don't think princesses will ever go out of fashion. Love the new header!

ReplyDeleteI know children are so fickle sometimes x
DeleteThat's a great idea! I love the answers they gave. My youngest son actually wants to be a Pirate when he's older, I'm trying to steer him towards some different options in the meantime! #BinkyLinky
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea, especially to ask them yearly and keep the responses. It's so cute that they were wanting to contribute to your blog- you have some future bloggers on your hands!
