Minecraft Christmas Gift Guide

As Christmas fast approaches, and children are busy finalising their Christmas wish lists, it's probably time to start thinking about gifts.

Top of the list for my son this year is anything Minecraft. He is completely obsessed, and I have spent weeks looking at all of the toys on offer.

Minecraft has exploded in popularity over the last year or two, and is likely to be on Santa lists across the world. With a growing number of toys and merchandise  becoming available, picking a minecraft related gift can be a bit of a minefield.

If you need a bit of inspiration, here is my Ultimate Minecraft Christmas gift guide.

  • 1 - Large Ghast Plush £35 from Very - This strange looking creature is a Ghast, which in the minecraft game can be found in the nether. The plush toy is a good size, about 33cm tall, and feels so soft. Perfect for young and old Minecraft fans alike.
  • 2 - Lego Minecraft £19.99 - £89.99 from Lego - Following on from the success of the Lego Minecraft micro worlds, Lego have released 6 new Minecraft play sets just in time for Christmas. It is sure to be a big hit, and your children will have hours of fun re-creating popular Minecraft scenes with the iconic bricks. Be quick on these because some shops have sold out already.
  •  3 - Diamond Block wrapping paper £7.99 from Amazon - At £7.99 for three sheets, this one is a little pricey, but what minecraft fan wouldn't love to break through thir very own diamond block on Christmas morning?!? Also available in Cobblestone pattern, perhaps this could be reserved for a few of the special gifts.
  • 4 - Creeper Plush with sound £19.99 from Forbidden Planet - This Creeper plush is 14 inches tall, and plays the signature hissing and explosion sound that will be familiar to all Minecraft fans. I found this on Forbidden Planet for £19.99 which is a good price as it seems to be £26-£30 else where.
  • 5 - Creeper Zip Up Hoodie 24.99 from Argos - Keep your kids looking stylish this winter with this Minecraft hoodie which zips all the way up to reveal a creeper face. Available for ages 5 - 14
  • 6 - Blockopedia £15 from Asda - The ultimate book for serious Minecraft geeks everywhere, this book contains information on every block in the game. Available for pre-order now, for release early December.
  • 7 - Creeper Beanie £9.99 from Argos - Stylish and practical, this Beanie will keep your Minecraft fans warm and toasty this winter. Available in age 7-10 & 11-14.
Hopefully you will find something in the list for your little (or big!) minecraft fan.

I have tried to find the best price on each of these items, but as with all products, prices can change at any time so please shop around for the best bargain before you buy.
