The Big Weigh-in - 12 Week Slip in to Summer Week 4

It's hard for me to believe, but I am 4 weeks in to my 12 Week Slip in to Summer challenge with DW Fitness. This week it's time for my first big weigh-in, and my first time taking my measurements since the challenge started.

I've been feeling really rubbish all week. Much like the tail end of last week, I've been bloated and just generally feeling miserable. Because I've been feeling so crappy, I've been comfort eating in the evenings.

I tried to redeem myself at the weekend, knowing I had to step on the scales on Monday morning. I swapped my normal mound of roast dinner on Sunday for a smaller, healthier meal, but I think it was too little too late!

Here are the results of my first official weigh in and measurements:

  • Weight - 10st 9lb
  • Loss this week - .6lb
  • Total loss - 3.6lb
  • Bust - 88cm (0cm lost)
  • Upper Arm - L 27.5 (1cm lost) R 27.5 (0.5cm gained)
  • Waist - 73cm (1cm lost)
  • Tummy - 94cm (6cm lost)
  • Hips - 102cm (1cm lost)
  • Thighs - L 58 (1cm lost) R 59cm (1cm lost)

I'm really disappointed to have not even lost a pound again this week. That's the second week in a row now. As much as I would like to blame the fact that I was hormonal, it's really no excuse. The problem is, I love chocolate. I'm really, really struggling not to eat chocolate and sweet treats, and the problem is I try and say 'just one' but I have no will power and one turns in to lots more.

I know I'm still losing a little bit each week but it's not enough to reach my target in time for the end of the challenge.

I need to change my attitude towards chocolate or I'm going to fail! The only thing motivating me at the moment is the dress that I have hanging up in my bedroom. The beautiful dress that is currently too small for me, that I would love to fit in to in time for Britmums Live. Whenever I tell people the dress is a size 8, they look at me like I've gone nuts. 'A size 8, really?' is what I can tell they are thinking. I want to prove to those people that I can do, that the dress will fit me!

Mostly, I don't want to let anyone down. I've been given this fantastic opportunity and I don't want it to be for nothing!

Here is my vlog for this week

I hope you can join me next week to see if I can get myself back on target!

  1. You are doing well, no matter what the scales tell you! The measurements alone are telling! You do not have much to lose, weight loss will tougher! You can do it, you will fit into that incentive dress and you will totally rock BritMums! #WeightLossWednesday Sim x

  2. The scales definitely aren't everything lovely, you're doing well - I couldn't have done the bike ride! I know it's hard but keep looking at that dress, you'll do it! Good luck and thanks for linking with #BloggingToJogging xx
