Fighting my sweet tooth

I might as well just go ahead and admit it, I'm a sucker for a bar of chocolate.

It's been ten whole days since I decided I was taking control of my body and going to get fit. If you haven't already read the post, you may do so here.

And I did take control, briefly.

I started doing workouts at home, toning excercises, and just generally trying to be a bit more active. I started trying to cut down portion sizes, I've almost eliminated the fizzy pop. This all sounds great, but there is one problem..... my damn sweet tooth.

I felt like I was doing well, and then my hubby brought home a treat for me. It was a 100g bar of beautiful, creamy, smooth and downright delicious galaxy caramel. And you know what? I ate it all in one go! It was all downhill from that moment.

We made Cupcakes...

When the kids went to bed, I ate most of them.

They were delicious I must say, and it didn't take me long to scoff 4 or 5 of them, one after another.
Just another bump in the road, this incident could be forgotten and I could carry on with my quest toward fitness heaven.

Then we made scones...

I ate quite a lot of them too. Can we see a pattern developing here? That's not all, I was a bit peckish at work last week, and the shop next door had a box of chewee cereal bars on offer for a quid, so I bought some thinking they would do me a good few shifts. I ate about five during one day at work. FIVE! I couldn't stop myself, they were tasty, and of course I washed them down with my 3 sugars cappuccino. Of Course.

It's all come to a head tonight, when I had a large serving of chocolate cake and custard after dinner.

I feel like a bit of a piggy, and I'm quite ready to go and cry my sugary tears in to my pillow. So, ten days on, I'm still 10st 10, I still feel unfit, and we have established I have a sugar problem.

My journey continues...

  1. Oh cupcakes are modish aren't they. The same happens here when the children bake, a good handful could be consumed with a single cup of tea. I think that's why we don't bake much ATM as I could may well explode if we did, lol.

Great post hun, thanks for sharing #madmidweekbloghop

  2. I'm blaming northern Ireland, everyone has a bun with their cuppa and I've become way too partial to the odd bun myself haha.
